The Technical and Vocational Training Corporation announced an increase in male and female trainees' enrollment capacity for the current training year 1442 AH. The number of continuing trainees in different training programs for all genders reached (241,249) trainees in the first semester. The total number of bachelor's degree trainees in the technical colleges for boys and girls reached (11259) trainees. In detail, the number of female trainees in technical colleges for girls reached (30070) trainees, while the number of trainees in technical colleges for boys reached (134714) trainees. On the other hand, the number of male and female trainees in international technical colleges and strategic partnerships institutes operated in collaboration with the business sector was (27,230) trainees, whereas the number of trainees in diploma and programs for secondary industrial, architecture, and construction institutes reached (18704) trainees. In higher private institutes, the number of trainees reaches (19,272).
His Excellency, the Governor of the corporation, Dr. Ahmed bin Fahd Al-Fahaid has declared that raising the TVTC's enrollment capacity in various training programs this year is a part of its plans for quantitative and qualitative expansion. These plans aim to provide technical training for many of our sons and daughters to qualify them to the labor market in qualitative and active fields that meet the demands of developmental projects in the Kingdom. Since early, TVTC has worked on preparation to increase its enrollment capacity of new trainees in training facilities deployed in different Kingdom regions by expanding the operation of new training facilities in several areas of the Kingdom. This year, two digital colleges for girls were launched in Riyadh and Jeddah, which offer many majors in various information technology fields. Eleven technical college branches have also been transformed into independent colleges, and their majors have expanded.
Al-Fahaid added that the TVTC's distinctive technical structure helped increase admissions this year, especially when presenting theoretical courses remotely through its e-training center.
It is worth noting that since early, the TVTC has followed serious steps to prepare training facilities, apply all precautionary measures to prevent Coronavirus, and provide all instructions and protocols for the administrative, training staff, and trainees. Besides, it supports and develops the technical infrastructure for e-training platforms and services, Provided through its e-training center.
