The General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training received the Digital Excellence Award in the e-learning of Saudi universities in its first branch during the ceremony organized by the National Center for e-Learning to launch the Saudi Resources Network initiative "Shams" within the national program of open educational content and the launch of the Excellence Award in e-Learning " the fifth edition "And the ceremony of parceling the Excellence Award in e-learning," the fourth edition "at the Ministry of Education in Riyadh, which was awarded by Deputy Minister of Education Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Asmi.
The Governor of the General Organization for Technical and Vocational Training Dr. Ahmad bin Fahd Al-Fuhaid said that the Institution is proactive in supporting national initiatives that will achieve the vision of the Kingdom in all fields, including e-learning that will empower the Saudi youth and build a prosperous future under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdul-Aziz and His Royal Highness Prince Muhammad bin Salman, may God preserve them.
Al Fuhaid assure that the Institution has made great progress in providing electronic training and lifelong education skills for its employees. The Virtual Reality Agreement is the latest initiative of the Institution in this field. The Institution provides 150 electronic training centers, 182 professional academies and 90 testing centers.
The award focuses on the use of education and information technologies in education, from the principle of stimulating and encouraging educational institutions, developing the thinking of creativity and innovation, spreading the spirit of competitiveness to enrich the e-learning process and appreciating excellence in the field of e-learning, as well as reinforcement the concepts of excellence and creativity by adopting the standards of excellence in the implementation of e-learning, and Integrating efforts among educational institutions to improve the outcomes of the educational process.
It is worth mentioning that the Institution has won many local, arabic and international awards in the fields of electronic training.
