About Directorate

In accordance with decision of Manpower Board dated 5/16/1404H, on its 16th meeting of 7/7/1404H. the TVTC was assigned the responsibility to issue permits for the establishment of private centers and institutes and supervise and monitor their activities in addition to evaluate their curriculums and programs and also supervise their examinations. The decree gives the TVTC authority to issue permits for establishing private institutes and formulate regulations organizing their performance. Accordingly a regulation was issued to organize the work of private technical institutes and vocational centers. The directive was approved at the (18th) meeting of the TVTC Board of Directors dated 20/09/1404H. The regulation contains 20 articles regulating the work of these technical institutes and vocational centers and the pre-requisite for establishing such institutes and also the aims and objectives of the institutes. As the number of these institutes increased by time throughout the Kingdom, the Department of private training at the TVTC has witnessed several stages of development in order to achieve the ambitious plans of the TVTC.

Since its inception in the year 1404H, the Private Technical Institutes and Vocational Training Centers, has started as a committee from the related administrations under the name: Technical Institutes and Vocational Centers Secretariat, this secretariat has continued to perform its duties until the issue became quite clear and applications began to pour in for opening new institutes and centers and the need for such institutes has increased too. The need for establishing an independent department at the TVTC has increased. In the year 1407H His Excellency the Governor of the TVTC has approved the annulment of the Technical Institutes and Vocational Centers Committee and the establishment of the Directorate General of  Private Training in the year 1419H.

The Objectives of the Directorate and Tasks:

• Support the private sector in order to find a positive environment for the success of training and provide efficient and effective training.
• Support investment in training in order to meet the needs of labor market.
• Issue permits for the private sector training institutions.
• Supervise the training activities of the various private sectors.
• Assess training processes and its outputs.

• Develop and upgrade laws, regulations and procedures for the success of work.
