
The Governor of Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) Dr. Ali bin Nasser Al-Ghafis appreciated the support of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, for the technical and vocational training, confirming that the Corporation is continuing to provide the technical training in accordance with the requirements of economic development.
This came during his patronage for the closing ceremony of the program of joint cooperation between the Makkah Technical and Vocational Training Council and ALBAIK® Food Systems Co. titled “With Al Baik you are the Hero of Your Home” which took place at Jeddah Vocational Secondary Institute.
The Chairman of Makkah Training Council, Dr. Rashid bin Mohammed Al-Zahrani stressed that the program has achieved its objectives to promote the importance of vocational and technical work, saying the program is a model to unify the efforts and cooperation between technical training and the private sector towards social responsibility.
On the other hand, the Executive Director of Al Baik Food Systems Eng. Rami Abu Ghazalah said that the activities of the program are divided into two sections. One specified for male students where 150 of them join it at Makkah while 250 others will join it at Jeddah. Their training includes management essentials, workshops, car maintenance, basics of electricity, safety procedures, basic plumbing, first aid, fire fighting, safety hazards, as well as courses in home maintenance, and paint skills.
The other section according to the CEO is for female students whose number totals 150 students too. Their program according him includes training in the art of decoration, arts, basics of home health, self-care including etiquette, basics of cooking, fitness, safety, prevention of hazards, first aid and fire fighting.
