The Minister of Education, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Abdullah Al Saud paid a visit to the Technical and Vocational Training pavilion, girls section at Janadriyyah yesterday.
The Minister, who admired the exhibits of the girls, stressed the need for intensifying awareness among students of the market needs for technical and vocational training qualifications, this is because the Saudi labor market is in dire need for professionally and technically trained women. “Universities could no longer accommodate the enormous numbers of graduates; we need to redirect 60% our girls towards technical and vocational training.” The Minister added.
The Minister who was earlier briefed about the specializations offered, had expressed admiration of the exhibits he had seen and also briefed about the workshops equipment and programs in addition to the daily programs at the pavilion.
